Welcome to the 2nd Franco-German Symposium on Extended Intelligence for Rapid Cognitive Reconfiguration (XIRCON).
Taking place in Karlsruhe from October 23rd to 24th, 2024, this event brings together experts and researchers from France and Germany to explore the intersection of Digital Twins (DTs), eXtended Reality (XR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the reconfiguration of manufacturing systems.
Join us for insightful presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities to connect with leading minds in the field.

Key Themes:

  • Enhancing manufacturing reconfiguration with Digital Twins
  • Leveraging eXtended Reality for immersive, real-time system interaction
  • AI's role in predictive and adaptive reconfiguration processes

Registration is now open—be part of the future of manufacturing!

Dates: October 23-24, 2024
Location: Karlsruhe, Germany
Venue: Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Campus North, Campus East

About the XIRCON Project

XIRCON stands for eXtended Intelligence for Rapid Cognitive Reconfiguration. This project focuses on empowering manufacturing systems to rapidly adapt to changing demands without sacrificing productivity. Through the integration of Digital Twins (DTs), eXtended Reality (XR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), XIRCON aims to revolutionize reconfiguration processes in production environments.

XIRCON is being tested and developed at the Wertstromkinematik (WSK) production system at wbk Research Factory Karlsruhe.

What makes XIRCON unique?

  • Digital Twins reduce reconfiguration time by up to 58%, providing real-time simulations of system changes.
  • eXtended Reality offers immersive, intuitive interaction with physical systems, enabling workers to visualize and validate changes before implementation.
  • Artificial Intelligence customizes and optimizes reconfiguration strategies, ensuring efficient, error-free processes.
