Transregio 391 – Spatio-temporal Statistics for the Transition of Energy and Transport

In October, IMI will begin work in TRR 391 "Spatio-temporal Statistics for the Transition of Energy and Transport". The Transregio was successfully applied for from the German Research Foundation (DFG) under the leadership of TU Dortmund University and Ruhr University Bochum. Anne Meyer and the IMI are involved due to their expertise in the field of statistical methods in freight transportation.

TRR 391 aims to establish a leading international research center in the Ruhr region dedicated to the development of statistical methods for processing spatio-temporal data from energy production, distribution and the transport of people and goods. By modeling, estimating and forecasting spatio-temporal processes in economic and technical applications, efficient, data-based decisions for the energy and transport transition are to be made possible.
