Development of a toolbox with adaptive algorithms for the introduction of autonomous transport robots for automotive suppliers.

Description

FlexTools is concerned with the development of a toolbox, i.e. methods and tools to facilitate the introduction of autonomous transport robots for automotive suppliers. The focus at KIT is on the development of modular and adaptive algorithms for autonomous production supply. The idea behind this is that driverless transport robots and the toolbox are sufficient to set up an autonomously managed warehouse quickly and without much installation effort. Algorithms should take over decisions, such as which robot transports a pallet from A to B, and make the best possible decisions in terms of resource utilization.
